I Need a Hero

What i have done for this task is contact two game developers:

Dan Salvato- 'Doki Doki Literature Club'
Yandere Dev- 'Yandere Simulator'

I have attempted to contact these people over twitter

So far i have had a response from yandere Dev

 


I am inspire by these people because they both have either made a game in a small group of people or are making a game in a small group of people.

Their games are quite similar, they both use the anime art style and they both have dark stories.

Yandere Dev: Yandere Sim

story: Yandere sim is about a Japanese school girl who is obsessed with a boy in her school, in game this boy is called 'Senpai', but there is a girl who is also in love with this boy. this causes Yan-chan to go into a mental state that allows her to commit murder. the aim of the game is to get rid of all the rivals, with multiple methods including: murder with a weapon, murder with poison and driving the subject to commiting suicide via bullying. Once all rivals are gone then Yan-chan and senpai can be together.

Dan Salvato (Team Salvato): Doki Doki Literature Club

Story: You are the main focus point of the game is it is set as a dating sim however after 'normal' dating sim game play with conversations with each of the girls and a cute poem mini game things start to get a bit weird it first starts off with Sayori becoming upset and walking home early by herself and after the weekend visit from either Yuri or Natsuki you will visit Sayori at her house she is OK. the next day Sayori is late again so you go to school without her but after Monika tells you to see if she is OK to go back to Sayori's house to find she has hung her self. after this event the game has a whole new atmosphere since now the characters are acting strange and the game is glitchy. in the end Monika deletes everyone so you and her are left to sit with each other in the room by yourselves until you are forced to delete her from the character file resorting in the end of the game.  

I want these games to inspire my end game at the end of this year. I like these games because they seem innocent but are dark in story and a game like 'Doki Doki Literature Club' is the main game type that i want to look into.
